Frequently asked questions
Everything a workshop asks before switching to Proderly — setup, tablets, production, scheduling, pricing.
Getting started & setup
What is Proderly, exactly?
Proderly is the ERP for industrial workshops that run on work orders: sheet metal, boilermaking, machining, welded fabrication and more. It connects quotes, orders, real-time production and margins — all the way to invoicing — in one tool, with no heavy ERP to deploy and no integrator.
How long does it take to get started?
About a day, on your own: name your workshop, choose a plan and a default language, then connect your tablets. No endless configuration and no consultant.
Do I need an existing ERP or software?
No. Proderly replaces spreadsheets and works on its own — no integration is required to get started.
Is it a fit for my trade?
Proderly is for any workshop that drives production with work orders, whatever the specialty.
Tablets & the shop floor
Does Proderly supply the tablets?
No, Proderly doesn't sell hardware. You connect your own Android tablets to turn them into clock-in points at each workstation. A simple second-hand tablet is enough.
How many tablets can I connect?
It depends on your plan: 1 (Solo), 2 (Starter), 4 (Pro) or 8 (Atelier). Beyond that, each extra connected tablet is +9 €/mo.
What if the shop Wi-Fi drops?
Offline mode is built in: the tablet keeps recording clock-ins without a connection, then syncs automatically when Wi-Fi is back.
How do operators sign in on the tablet?
They pick their name on screen, then enter a PIN. The interface is designed for gloved hands and instant use.
Production & margin
How do operators clock their work?
On every operation of a work order: Start / Pause / Finish, good quantity, scrap quantity, and a defect photo straight from the tablet.
Can the owner see production in real time?
Yes: the status of every work order, actual vs plan, and station load, live, from the office or a phone.
How is margin calculated?
On the fly, order by order, from your hourly rates (day, night, per station). You instantly know which job pays off.
Scheduling
What is the scheduler?
A finite-capacity plan that places your operations based on operators' real presence, day and night, flags late deliveries ahead of time, and is driven by drag and drop.
Is the scheduler included in my plan?
Included in Pro and Atelier; a +19 €/mo add-on on Solo and Starter, toggleable at any time. When it's off, Proderly works exactly the same, unchanged.
Does it handle night work?
Yes: setup by a present operator, then the machine runs autonomously during closing hours. The margin then applies your night rate.
From quote to invoice
What does the quote-to-invoice flow cover?
A continuous flow: quote → order → work orders → real-time production → margin. Delivery notes and Factur-X compliant invoices are coming soon.
What does the quoting module offer?
Reusable costing templates, made-or-bought sub-components, professional PDF, email sending and tracking of replies. Multi-currency is available from the Starter plan.
Is Factur-X invoicing available yet?
Not yet: it's the last piece of the flow and it's coming soon. Everything else, from quote to margin, is already up and running.
Team, roles & time off
What are the roles in Proderly?
Three profiles: owner / admin, operator (tablet), and shop supervisor — an operator who also wears a supervisor hat (clock-ins, time-off approvals).
Can the supervisor see amounts and margins?
No: no euro amount appears on the supervisor's screens. Financial data stays reserved for the owner and admins.
How do time off and attendance work?
Operators file their requests directly on the tablet. The supervisor approves in one tap; the absence flows onto the plan and attendance adjusts scheduling.
Pricing & trial
How much does Proderly cost?
Four tiers by workshop size: Solo (69 €), Starter (119 €), Pro (199 €) and Atelier (329 €) per month, with −17% on annual billing. All modules are included; only scheduling and tablets beyond your quota are optional.
Is there a free trial?
Yes: 12 days free, no credit card, with full access to all tiers and to scheduling.
What is the "founding members" offer?
The first 50 workshops get −30% for life on their tier, a visible status, roadmap calls and their logo on the site.
Is there a commitment?
None. You switch plans or cancel whenever you want.
Languages, data & security
Which languages is Proderly available in?
Four: French, English, Spanish and German. One default language for the workshop, and each tablet can show its own.
Where is my data hosted?
In Europe. Proderly is a French product, built for European compliance.
How do you log in? Is there a password?
Back-office login uses a magic link sent by email, with no password. On the shop floor, operators sign in with a PIN.
